Mosfigul Aktar is a trained architect & real estate developer in New York, specializing in revitalization & repositioning of commercial assets.
Mr. Aktar holds a B.Tech in Architectural Technology & Certificate in Construction Management from the City University of New York. He has also completed professional studies in Real Estate Finance & Investments at Fordham University & currently completing the Master of Science in Real Estate (M.S.R.E) at Fordham University.
He is currently a member of the American Institute of Architects, American Real Estate & Urban Economics Association & Urban Land Institute.
Mr. Aktar brings a high level of expertise to all projects as he directs the design and construction process. His direction & attention to detail is evident in the execution and delivery of many successful projects throughout the tri-state.
The Marriott Marquis Times Square, W Hotel Times Square, Lewis Steel Building, and 16 Court Street are a few of the projects completed under Mr. Aktar's directive.

Process
PRE-DEVELOPMENT
Project managers and Analysts direct each step of the pre-development process including entitlements, design, budgeting, scheduling and financing using market data to identify opportunities.
ZONING
Knowledge of local zoning requirements and experience working directly with municipalities, community groups and local stakeholders to pursue and modify complex land use entitlements.
ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN
Experience working with architects, interior design firms, and other design consultants which are directly managed by ACRE’s in-house design professionals.
FINANCING
Expertise in structuring and financing development projects through established relationships with the construction lenders and private equity partners.
CONSTRUCTION
Strategic partnerships & in-house construction management team supervises each stage of building construction and third-party general contractors.
OPERATIONS
Hands-on operations focus and asset management, combined with strategic operating partners, drive incremental performance through improved operations.

Role: Construction Management
Status: Completed December 2016
The Lewis Steel Building is a masterful industrial conversion located in the heart of Williamsburg, in Brooklyn NY. Located at 76 North 4th Street, the former 1930's steel factory has been transformed into 83 individually unique and luxury loft apartments. The handsome building spanning the entire block from North 4th Street on Berry to Wythe boasts dark red brick and massive factory sized casement windows.
